Lovers Harold and Edith reunited

Root 1066 celebrates Battle of Hastings

This year – 2016 – is the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. Hastings’ attitude is celebrate while you can – why wait 50 years when you might not be around to commemorate the 1,000th? So this year, Hastings is marking the date with an international contemporary festival of the arts, ROOT 1066. Strange currents in odd places

End of August approaches and with it Hastings and St Leonards annual arts festival, Coastal Currents. Amazingly, now in its sixteenth year, it has been growing exponentially in size and character, attracting international groups and live events as well as supporting local artists. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths talked to one of the curators, Tina Morris.
