Hastings council declared a climate emergency earlier this year. The question is: what next? This will be discussed on Thursday 30 May at Jackson Place, Hastings Voluntary Action, hosted by Friends of the Earth. All welcome. HOT’s Zelly Restorick writes.

Plans to improve Hastings Castle are to go on display at Hastings Town Hall between 6pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday 4 September, with the architect on hand to talk about his ideas.

How often is it that we get exercised about the injustices of government, get angry, frustrated, feel powerless and then do nothing about whatever it is that is upsetting us? Charity worker Sara Young, aged 23,  Hastings-born and bred, sensed people were internalising what they felt strongly about and wanted to give them a voice. HOT reporter Lauris Morgan-Griffiths talked to her about her idea for a documentary.
