A Penny Pincher’s Christmas Carol

The writing/performing team of Kate Tym and John Knowles (Rat in the Cellar, Time Please and Hilteria Pizzeria) return to the stage with a brand new family play based on ‘A Christmas Carol. Those familiar with Dicken’s seasonal classic might recall that there are quite a lot of people in his story, as well as amazing special effects; well not in this version, as ‘A Penny Pincher’s Christmas Carol’ brings you the abridged version with just two actors. Journey beyond the moon with Professor Elemental

There are some men who quite simply defy rules and define an age and Professor Elemental is that man… or men… man… Anyway, it’s him. Who else owns a pair of fighting trousers, a butler called Geoffrey who’s an Orang-outang and loves tea like most men love women. Who else can rightly wear the mantle, ‘The King of Steampunk Hip-Hop’? None other than, the one and only Professor Elemental.

Alexandra Park is the place to be on Saturday September 1, when The Summer Day @ The Park will once again be celebrated! Apparently, writes Zelly Restorick, more than 4,000 people turned up last year. The park is, however, large and accommodating and there’ll be plenty of room for everyone. All ages and varieties welcome, and – music to recession hit ears – entry and most of the games and attractions are FREE!
