Linda Smith's home with solar panels

Local eco show homes sought

Have you made changes to your home to make it more energy efficient? Changes like an eco-refurb? Better insulation? Solar panels? Wind turbine? New heating system or boiler? Damp-proofing? Compost toilet in the garden? Simple DIY measures such as draught-exclusion? Energise Sussex Coast (ESC) is looking for local homes to be included in their Eco Show Homes tour taking place in September and they’d love to hear from you if you’d like to take part. Zelly Restorick writes.

Energy…and our homes

Energy is defined as the power of doing work, but we tend to know it as something elusive and yet readily available if needed. Petrol for the car,  gas for heating, electricity for lights, washing machines, etc. All there when we need them, we simply – for the most part – just pay up, writes local architect, Ken Davis
