28 Bus Campaign ‘Let your voices be heard’. Representatives from Stagecoach and local councillors will be at a meeting about the recent reduction in the 28 bus service on the 19 July. This is to create a dialogue with the bus company and let them know about local residents needs, as changes to the service will be reviewed by Stagecoach in September. Take the greenway route to the Conquest

Next Saturday, 11 March, Hastings Greenway Group is holding another walk along the proposed greenway route, from Alexandra Park to Conquest Hospital. A possible breakthrough has been made with East Sussex County Council agreeing to meet the group. Nick Terdre reports. Photos by Tony Polain.

Council leader Jeremy Birch died in the Conquest Hospital today, Wednesday, after being unconscious for several days.

Jeremy Birch seriously ill in hospital

Council leader Jeremy Birch is seriously ill in hospital, writes Nick Terdre. He was taken ill on Friday lunchtime with what is thought to have been a stroke and rushed to Conquest Hospital.
