Journey beyond the moon with Professor Elemental

There are some men who quite simply defy rules and define an age and Professor Elemental is that man… or men… man… Anyway, it’s him. Who else owns a pair of fighting trousers, a butler called Geoffrey who’s an Orang-outang and loves tea like most men love women. Who else can rightly wear the mantle, ‘The King of Steampunk Hip-Hop’? None other than, the one and only Professor Elemental.

The Flaming Galahs at the Beacon, 24 August

Wikipedia tells us that ‘galah’ is another name for the rose-breasted cockatoo; Urban Dictionary explains that a ‘flaming galah is a person who makes a fool of themselves, but isn’t afraid to laugh at themselves when everyone else starts laughing at them.’ In Hastings, The Flaming Galahs are an all-female musical trio consisting of Krysia Mansfield on vocals, Lucy Mulgan on double bass and vocals, and Lesley Anne Sammons on piano and vocals. HOT reporter Cathy Simpson spent an evening at the Beacon being enthralled and entertained!
