Recently, local graphic designer, Sarah Macbeth, posted details online via Hastings Creatives of a funding opportunity seen as “a challenge to communities to work together to put culture at the centre of their local plans”. “Could be good for Hastings and St Leonards?”, Sarah wonders. Zelly Restorick writes.

This Saturday this riotously funny show will be revealing just what happens when a glamorous French actress and her hapless assistant stage their version of the Hollywood blockbuster, Gladiator, called Gloriator. The council’s media office provides the background.

This week’s Get a Life takes a peep into a family themed project for young people, hosted by BBC 1Xtra’s hip-hop DJ and producer, Skitz. As part of Small Green Shoots projects, Hastings becomes the host town for one of eight family themed events taking place, supporting young people with family life.
