HOW DEGRADING

How degrading!

Every year, I post this poster from The Green Blue, telling us how long it takes our rubbish to bio-degrade, writes HOT’s Zelly Restorick. A friend and I put them up along the coast – on noticeboards, in cafes, in shops, wherever water is near. Anyone we speak to is always shocked at how long things take to decompose. As you can see, a lot of our rubbish will live on long after we, as individuals, are no longer residents of our planet.

Contact The Green Blue for A3, A4 and A5 posters and spread the word – and/or send this article on to people you know.

    hi Zelly,

Did you find out how much the composting loo (in the Walled Garden) cost – please?

Yes, ghastly how thoughtless some of us are in chucking rubbish. Well done for reminding us!

    Best wishes,
    David.
