Run for Sarah Lee Trust

Run the Hastings Half Marathon and raise much-needed funds for local charity, The Sara Lee Trust, which improve the lives and well-being of people affected by cancer and other life- threatening illnesses in the Hastings and Rother area through the provision, free of charge, of psychological and counselling support, creative and complementary therapies, and therapeutic group activities.

The charity is aiming to raise £5,000 to help support an additional 50 people across Hastings and Rother next year, and they need your help to achieve this goal.

By joining ‘Team Sara Lee’ and taking part in the Hastings Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday 18 March 2018, you will receive fundraising support from start to finish, a Sara Lee Trust running vest and a cheer team on the day. There will also be a team fundraising page on JustGiving, which you will be able to share with your friends – this means you don’t have to worry about an individual target.

If you would like to join ‘Team Sara Lee’, the Trust would be delighted to hear from you. Please book your place at www.hastings-half.co.uk and contact Nikki Hawes at the Trust on nikkihawes@saraleetrust.org or call 01424 457969.

For more information, please visit the Trust’s website.

The Sarah Lee Trust is committed to making their service accessible to all in an area where deprivation, early death and health inequalities are significantly worse than the national average. Complementary to medical care, the Trust offers time, meaningful touch and support, so that each person may live life as fully as possible, even with a life threatening diagnosis.
