Last year’s Christmas Fair

A Christmas Fair full of festive fun!

Local charity, The Sara Lee Trust will be holding their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 17 November at St John the Evangelist Church in St Leonards from 10am until 1pm. This free event is full of festive fun for all the family. You will be able to buy Christmas gifts, enjoy homemade refreshments and children can meet Father Christmas.

There will be a variety of stalls, including hand-crafted gifts, decorations, candles, jewellery, beauty products, tombola and festive food and drink, with music kindly provided by The Rye Ukulele Experiment.

Tickets will also be available for the charity’s Grand Christmas Raffle featuring fantastic prizes, including a festive hamper worth over £150, a cash prize of £100, lunch for two at The Curlew Restaurant and much more.

Nikki Hawes, Fundraising and Marketing Officer for the Trust said: “Our Christmas Fair is always a lot of fun and a great way to get into the festive spirit. We’d love as many people as possible to come along and support our work.”

Entry is free and funds raised on the day will help the Trust to provide specialist counselling, complementary therapies and creative therapies to people in Hastings and Rother affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses; with support for their families and carers.

The Christmas Fair will be taking place at St John the Evangelist Church, Pevensey Road, St. Leonards on Sea, TN38 0RD on Saturday 17 November. For more information, please visit the Sara Lee Trust website.

The Sara Lee Trust

The Sara Lee Trust aims to improve the lives and well-being of people affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in the Hastings and Rother area through the provision, free of charge, of psychological and counselling support, creative and complementary therapies, and therapeutic group activities.

They are the dedicated provider of specialist end-of-life counselling and complementary therapy services to patients of St. Michael’s Hospice (St. Leonards on Sea) and the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital.

They are committed to making our service accessible to all in an area where deprivation, early death and health inequalities are significantly worse than the national average.  Complementary to medical care, the Trust offers time, meaningful touch and support, so that each person may live life as fully as possible, even with a life threatening diagnosis.

The Sara Lee Trust operates 7 charity shops in Hastings, St. Leonards on Sea and Bexhill which stock a wide range of donated goods, the sale of which help to fund their services.
