Bengali Festival celebrations

Celebrating the wonderfully diverse culture of Hastings and St Leonards. The Hastings Bengali Forum held their summer festival at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings on Monday 20 August 2018.

Joining the growing number of great local eateries, Sea Kale opened earlier this year on London Road, just moments from the promenade in St Leonards on Sea. The brain child of Emma and Matt Kennard-Bowen, Sea Kale celebrates seasonal, local produce in a calm, vintage environment. A. Vasudevan spoke to the couple to find out more about their venture.

Naturising the south east!

HAVE members

HAVE network: access for us all

HAVE (Hastings Access to Venues and Events) is a local group advocating for ‘disability access to all creative stuff’. They work to collaborate with all creatives, events and venues, requesting that they think about access for all disabled people: wheelchair users, visually/hearing impaired people, those with mobility issues, mental health issues, learning difficulties and who are neuro-diverse. Guided nature walks

Anton Hack from Heart of Hastings has organised more woodland walks in Ore Valley, involving specialists on the field of trees, herbs, foraging and birds. As you’ll see from David Young’s photos from the last walk, the area is beautiful, yet another of the hidden natural areas in this area.
