“Not good enough?”

Relegation is the threat that still haunts the Pilot Field. After United’s defeat to Leiston on Saturday (16 March) and with the lower ranked Thurrock winning  against Wingate and Finchley last weekend and drawing mid-week with high-flying Concord Rangers,  United is pushed into the drop zone, three points from safety, writes HOT’s Liam Willis.

MP Greg Barker talks energy solutions. With him on the platform, from left, Richard Watson, Sandy Roger and Donna Hume.

Tackling the energy crisis

Pincered between climate change and recession, how do we tackle the energy crisis? Or, in the words of Sandy Rodger, who chaired a public debate in Bexhill recently, how do we solve the conundrum of achieving energy that is both affordable and sustainable? Hard -to-heat houses in Hastings.

Home heating – get wised up this Saturday

The rising cost of gas and electricity is making it increasingly hard for poorer people to heat their houses properly in winter. Fuel poverty – when a household has to spend more than 10% of its budget on heating – has become a major social problem. Practical advice on how to make your home warmer and your energy bills lower will be available this Saturday, 9 March, in Bexhill, as Nick Terdre reports.
