Hang In There: Poetry from John D Robinson

John D Robinson, a regular contributor to HOT, has published his first full collection of poetry, Hang In There. Most of the poems appear in book form for the first time. Adrian Manning of Concrete Meat Press gives his appreciation of the man and his work. There follow three of the poems.

Alive is someone…

The husband of a dear friend of mine died a couple of weeks ago, after over a decade of coping with the myriad circumstances that accompany early onset dementia, writes HOT’s Zelly Restorick. A beautiful poem was read at his funeral, which I share with you here: maybe it will be a source of comfort should you also be going through a challenging time in your life.

A new book of poetry by Brian Docherty, Only In St. Leonards: A Year On The Marina, (Special Sorts Press, 2017) will be available soon from St. Michaels Hospice, Upper Maze Hill in St. Leonards. This is a signed, limited edition book of new poems, as a fundraiser for the Hospice.

Life long Hastings-ite and poet, John D. Robinson has produced Series 4 of his Holy&intoxicated Publications Poetry Card Series. Following in the footsteps of the previous Series, John says that Number 4 is “firing full power on all 5 cylinders, with high calibre poetry”.
