A Heart At Sea

As part of the Hastings Storytelling Festival, A Heart At Sea is performed by Half A String, a collaboration between folk singer/songwriter, Avi Simmons and puppet maker and artist, Peter Morton. Following a tragedy, a young boy bottles up his heart and throws it into the sea. Intricate puppets are swept through a transforming wooden world as the hero tries to recover his heart. Kino-Teatr mark the Russian Revolution’s centenary with Crime and Punishment on stage

A new adaptation of Dostoevsky’s famous novel by Morgan Creative theatre company (Ireland) has its UK premiere at Kino-Teatr. A ten-strong cast will take you to the underworld of 1860’s St Petersburg, where the mysteries of the Russian soul and intellect, crime and love are deeply entwined. Crime and Punishment will be the crowning event of this year’s Russia related programme at Kino-Teatr that marks the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution. Directed by Luke Morgan, actor and film maker whose short film Pockets made it to the Cannes Film Festival, the play premieres in the UK at Kino-Teatr.
