The Hastings Storytelling Festival runs from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 November. Nearly all the events are child-friendly, but not Billy Childish who performs at St Mary in the Castle on Saturday 17 November. This is a rare spoken word gig from the Bard of the Medway – but don’t make the mistake of labelling him a ‘Poet’.

Andy Wall Whores’ digital Factory…

For one day only on Monday 29 October there will be a digital audio-visual ‘Happening’ at Trinity Gallery in Hastings Town Centre. The ‘Andy Wall Whores’ event intends to create something new out of the spirit and legacy of Andy Warhol as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol’s classic 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans.

Bill Wyatt, Pauline Suett Barbieri, RJ Dent and Sarah Broome at F-ISH tales

Readings from a quartet of Waterloo Press poets on Friday 30 September will mark the swansong for the F-ISH Gallery in Robertson Street. Its sad end is the consequence of the axing by the government of the Sea Space agency under whose auspices the gallery opened three years ago.
