Hands of Friendship: quilting on the pier

On Saturday 16 June, Hastings Community of Sanctuary and Hastings Refugee Buddy Project will hold a quilting workshop in the Birch Room on Hastings Pier. Part of their celebration of Refugee Week, this event gives you the chance to become part of their Friendship Quilt, together making a wonderful community quilt, which will be displayed at Hastings Museum later this year. Project Art Works breaks through

Since then it has inspired similar schemes across the country – with international links. Isn’t Hastings amazing? It is staggering what Hastings achieves with limited resources and massive enthusiasm and  ambition. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths applauds Project Art Works’ hard work.
