Zoom into Coastal Currents

Zoom Arts is proud to announce an exhibition as part of Coastal Currents to be held at Zoom Arts Gallery, Warrior Square Station, St Leonards on Sea. This should prove to be an exciting and eclectic mix of work by Zoom members, unthemed, so plenty of variety.

Sierra Leone mudslide disaster update

St Leonards oak trees threatened with felling

Sunshine to power Hastings to 2066

Amazing energy innovation for Hastings and St Leonards. The 1066 Local Energy campaign is about to be launched. A campaign by local organisations to turn homes, businesses and churches into mini green power stations to keep energy prices affordable begins at the Stade on 10 September 10 2017 with The Big Happy Sun Day. The campaign will also launch a new community energy tariff that offers better deals to those on prepay meters and a green energy tariff to support local groups. 

3 in 1 Challenge for Sara Lee Trust

This October, The Sara Lee Trust is offering daredevils the chance to take part in a unique 3 in 1 Challenge event. Do you dare to walk barefoot over hot coals and cut glass and then chop through wood with just your hand all in support of the Trust? The Four Men

Sussex performers and playwright celebrate county’s treasured author with newly adapted play. Conn Artists Theatre Company visits the White Rock Theatre, Hastings on Wednesday 11 October 2017 with a newly adapted version of The Four Men by Hilaire Belloc which tours nationwide this autumn.

Motorbike Revolution

Something for you if you love the art of motorbiking. Cruise on down to Baker Mamonova Gallery and KinoTeatr on the 2 and 3 September, as they are hosting ‘Revolution, an extraordinary exhibition by Revolt about all things motorbike-related. The show will be exhibiting over 25 custom / classic bikes, motorcycle artwork, photography and film. 

Hastings Pride takes over The Oval

After last year’s mini-Pride taster, Hastings Pride has shaped up into a Rainbow Extravaganza for Bank Holiday Sunday. This year, the action kicks off with a stonking parade through town, ending at The Oval where there will be a variety of events and a main stage, with girl band Stooshe headlining the event. Erica Smith gets the low down for the High Day.
