Questioning Israeli ‘apartheid’ in Palestine

Do Israeli policies in Palestine amount to apartheid? Journalist and writer Ben White thinks so. He will be explaining how he arrived at this conclusion at a meeting organised by Hasting Palestine Solidarity Campaign on Saturday 17 September. PSC’s Gill Knight had an early opportunity to quiz Ben on his views.

Temporary roof lets greenhouse work continue

The restoration of the greenhouse in Alexandra Park is now able to continue in all weathers thanks to temporary roofing provided by a local scaffolder. 

Your Bard

Your Bard, a Stables production exploring the debate about who actually wrote the plays assigned to William Shakespeare. Professor Nother is giving a talk about authorship in the function room at The Shakespeare Pub, based on his belief that the man from Stratford didn’t write all those plays. Zelly Restorick reports.

Acclimatising musicians!

I am looking to set up a fortnightly ‘play’ with people who are ready & want to play with other musicians, but don’t necessarily feel comfortable going to jam at a pub yet! (It can’t be just me, can it?!!) Alison Cooper seeks souls with a desire to explore their musical aspirations.
