New music night & art exhibition

Now that The Pocket Park has reopened, the volunteer team are finding themselves to be rather busy… unsurprisingly so! Martin Styring reports.
The Language of Green is a show by SoCo Artists, a professional group of artists based in East Sussex, in the Crypt Gallery at St Mary in the Castle. Roz Cran, a member of the group, reports.
The Sara Lee Trust, in partnership with Hastings Shiatsu College, is holding a Shiatsu Awareness Raising Day at St. Michael’s Hospice on Saturday 9 May. Come along for an hour or two to receive a treatment and learn how Shiatsu can help you.
With the election fast approaching, I am puzzled that economic issues continue to be the priority and dominate the headlines rather than environmental matters. IF what we are being told is true regarding the state of this planet, vital resources and humanity’s future, then it seems to be a form of insanity not to make them a priority.
Just to let you know, the Gardeners’ Question Time team visited the Bohemia Walled Garden last week. Chairperson, Mary Dawson says that the programme will be broadcast either on Friday 1 May and Sunday 3 May OR Friday 8 May and Sunday 10 May – and should be available on BBC i-player.
