Fleet Gallery is fast becoming a gallery to watch in St Leonards. Set up by Patrick Robbins, it is gaining a reputation for finding and exhibiting local, contemporary, talented artists; some who have somehow eluded the limelight or not exhibited at all for many years. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths went along to see Fleet’s latest exhibition of octogenarian Roland Jarvis.

Out Of The Blue is a fundraising body established in memory of Will Beckett, who took his own life at Beachy Head in January 2013, at the age of 42. Will’s wife, Kate, has organised a number of different length runs to raise awareness and funds for the charities who have provided valuable support to her and her family since Will’s death. HOT’s Zelly Restorick reports.

Following a busy weekend schedule in which the sun shone on the Umbrella Parade, many enjoyed the Preservation Sunday music and beer festival at St Mary in the Castle, not to mention the Off Axis sets played by up-and-coming bands at the Carlisle, while yet others enjoyed the way-out sounds and performances of Sonic Sunday in St Leonards, culminating in something really different at a secret location skilfully disguised beneath a garage, Fat Tuesday moves into its final two days. Hastings Premieres at Stade Hall

Next Friday, 27 February, Stade Hall is the venue for an exciting night of entertainment to appeal to all of the senses. The evening will consist of short film screenings, music from Vallelectro and their ukuleles, tasty snacks from Sweet Umami and new work by artists, Tom Banks and Toby Stevens. This free event is a collaboration to celebrate and promote the work of some of Hastings’ most remarkable artistic community.
