Billy Childish

The Hastings Storytelling Festival runs from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 November. Nearly all the events are child-friendly, but not Billy Childish who performs at St Mary in the Castle on Saturday 17 November. This is a rare spoken word gig from the Bard of the Medway – but don’t make the mistake of labelling him a ‘Poet’.

Gladedale appeal starts Tuesday

Gladedale’s appeal against the refusal of permission for its high-density housing scheme on the Archery Ground in St Leonards starts tomorrow. Both the appellant and Hastings Borough Council will be represented by barristers in a public enquiry that could last up to six days.
